STUDIO MONANA is a research-driven design practice. Our current major design research initiatives include: ①CO-DESIGNER’S LAB – A field study on Chinese folk craftsmanship indexed through short videos. ②JUNIOR DESIGNER’S LAB – A public art practice exploring children’s creativity as a subject of research.

Fueled by these socially, historically, and structurally fruitful investigations—and the insights they yield—we engage in unrestrained product design, publishing, and documentary short film production. Simultaneously, we provide product design, content curation, and spatial design for premier luxury brands and world-renowned galleries. We aim to converse with people across the globe through warm, unpretentious, and whimsical design language¹— and to step into the present world through design action².
